City and Islington College was formed in 1993 through a merger of four institutions, which had operated over 13 sites across Islington, Hackney and Tower Hamlets. The new buildings were designed to the highest standards to reflect the quality of our work and the success of our students. Alongside the development of the new buildings, the management of teaching and learning was reorganised, and the five centres emerged. A communications campaign accompanied the changes – 541: five centres, four sites, one amazing College.

Freightliners Farm in the heart of Islington provides an exciting opportunity for you to experience a real working farm in action. The farm is open all year round Tuesday - Sunday (closed every Monday apart from bank holidays). Opening times are Autumn/Winter 10am - 4pm and Spring/Summer 10am - 4.45pm
