L’incontro Restaurant (meaning "The Meeting Place"), in Grosvenor Street, Stalybridge, offers the finest Italian food in Cheshire.

"This is the best Steak I have ever tasted in Tameside - can I marry your Chef" - was the reaction of one of L'incontros patrons after the first mouthful of his "Filleto imborghese".

The steak was cooked to perfection, seasoned and coated with honey, brandy, apricots and demi - glace sauce and served with a side salad, and freshly baked (on the premises) bread flavoured with Sambbuca and Fennel Seeds, judjing by his face, he had decided he would marry the chef.

For vegetarians, there are so many options, which makes a refreshing change from most eateries, just as an example the "CRESPELLE", pancakes stuffed with sauted mushrooms, asparagus tips, onions, peppers, mozzarella cheese and served with a bechemal and tomato sauce. The portion is so plentiful you will have trouble finishing it off!

Our Menu is mouthwatering and all the food is made from scratch, Nick the chef can tailor your dish to suit your tastes. From starters such as giant meatballs to traditionl pizzas, hearty soups, succulent chicken, tender steaks and gorgeous pasta dishes....your only problem will be what to choose!

We also offer our dining area for hire, for weddings, parties and anniversaries; choose from our extensive menu, which includes a Vegetarian section for your celebration.
